1. Hotel Business and Sales strategies and target
- Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
- Implements all sales action plans related to market areas to achieve Sales target including but not limiting to daily sales call, site inspection trips
- Responsible for individual and team’s weekly, monthly and yearly sales target and budget
- Responsible for accounts distributed in different segments such as TA, OTA, Corporate Sales for the hotel.
- Solve customers’ grievances and questions related to Sales process or services
- Work closely with Hotel Manager/ General Manager/ General Director/ Managing Director to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
2. Market Research and Business Development
- Do market research, keep you updated with market trend and best practice.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
- Implement action plan to achieve target of new account acquisition, room night and revenue
- Pre-qualify and target key accounts within assigned territory or area and develop appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategies to increase hotel’s market share
- Develop and maintain pro-active relationship with potential and current accounts through regular sales calls and/or in-house entertainment or appreciation events.
- Work closely with Marketing team to develop, plan and execute promotional activities
3. Sales Operations
- Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.
- Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
- Ensure all Sales contracts follow the established Hotel’s standards and are based on sound commercial judgement
- Ensure all credit and collection procedures are established and followed strictly
- Ensure all enquiries are replied within 24 hours
- Submit weekly sales activities and monthly sales report
- Attend all department and hotel meetings as necessary.
4. Teamwork and Team Management
- Assess additional training needs based on data gathered and interaction with sales team from property visits.
- Assist in training subordinates to build an efficient team
- As a Team Leader you will be a role model, sharing your expertise and continually inspiring the front office team.
