General description:
You will handle all financial aspects of Evoco – Vietnam’s production facility to ensure the company’s financial objectives are met. This includes accounting, reporting, budgetin g/forecasting, cash management & cash planning, inventory costing, regulatory and finan cial reporting. You will also act as the key contact for all external audits.
You will ensure that the financial statements are in accordance with both Vietnam accounting standards and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises in Canada. (ASPE)
You will develop internal control policies and procedures to ensure that risk of fraud is minimized and that company assets are not misused.

Establish and maintain effective businesses practices and business controls to support accounting, reporting, costing, budgeting & forecasting, cash management taxes.
This role also oversees the AR collection function.
Establish effective reporting to support Evoco – Canada’s reporting requirements.
Ensure all financial transactions are properly authorized, supported by the necessary documentation and recorded in all accounting systems.

· Purchases from vendors entered into AP
· Movement of inventory, at the item level
· Ensure production expenses (raw material, labour and supplies) are recorded
· Payment of vendor invoices and the application of the payment to the vendor’s account
· Costing of inventory, at the item level
· Invoicing sales based on customer purchase orders, quantity shipped and approved pricing
· Collecting payments from customers, depositing them appropriately and applying to a customer’s account
· Ensure payroll, and
Required knowledge, experience and skills
· University Degree in Finance, Business, Economics etc.
· 10+ years in a senior finance with experience reporting to an international paretnt company.
· In-depth knowledge of accounting for production and manufacturing.
· Must be fluent, both spoken and written, in English.
· Experience implementing new processes.
· Experience with Vietnamese government compliance and reporting
· Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and Vietnam Accounting standards.
· Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional statements, etc.).
· MISA experience required.
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
· Reconciliation of all bank accounts on a monthly basis including recording amounts not previously recorded in the financial records
· Recording & reconciling intercompany transactions
· Record interest income and interest expenses
Ensure all month end processes are complete, properly supported and reviewed.

· Reconciling AR, AP, Inventory SLs to GL
· Reviewing AR, AP, Inventory SLs to ensure accurate, resolve outstanding issues
· Prepare bank reconciliation
· Complete Sales, COGS and Gross Margin Analysis, investigate & resolve
· Prepare & update fixed asset continuity schedules, record depreciation
· Prepare & update Prepaid Expense schedule
· Prepare & update Accrued Liabilities schedules
· For Balance Sheet items denominated in a currency other than USD, adjust Balance Sheet balance to month end rate
· Review monthly P&L against budget/forecast/last year
Ensure regular financial statements, and other reporting, are analyzed and investigated as needs. Provide audience-oriented summary.
Lead Evoco – Vietnam’s budgeting/forecasting process, working closely with the local team to develop data-backed budgets. Ensure that Evoco – Vietnam’s budget adheres to the requirements set out by Evoco – Canada.
Manage all aspects of cash management; prepare rolling cash flow forecasts (short and long term).
Establish and maintain an inventory costing methodology and related processes that support Evoco - Canada’s needs.
Ensure tax related government compliance is remitted according to government guidelines. Key contact for all annual audits that involve the Vietnam company – for Vietnam and Canada. To provide Evoco – Canada with information as required.
