    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Check appearance of Room Attendant

    2. Ensure Room Attendant collect their report and go quickly but quietly to their sections.

    3. Take down list of departure rooms, expected arrivals, vacant and out-of-order rooms to be checked.

    4. Read log book for any special instructions and follow-up. Check with Assistant Housekeeper for additional duties.

    5. Inspect Room Attendant’s pantries - to see that it is well stocked. Check its cleanliness i.e. the toilet area. Ensure that there is no rubbish from last-night still not cleared.

    6. Inspect guest rooms according to standard given.

    7. During your room inspection - inform Room Attendant immediately of any touch-up required. If there is a major repair to be done, inform the Executive Housekeeper immediately if room need to be placed out-of-order, so that Front Office can also be told not to sell the room. Should there be any defects that had been reported but still not done - call the Engineering.

    8. Call Room Service to clear their trays, should you see them in the service areas or on staircases.

    9. Always be alert for suspicious characters whether they be guest or outsiders or staff.

    10. When Room Attendant report to you of any sick guest, immediately notify the Executive Housekeeper.

    11. Notify the Assistant Housekeeper if Room Attendant reports to you of any linen and towels were lost from the room. This is to be recorded in the missing item record book.

    12. Replace stained or torn linen and towels by returning them to the linen room.

    13. Order supplies.

    14. Other tasks assigned by Houskekeeping Manager.

    Education: A diploma or degree qualification. Ability to communicate in English

    Experience: At least 2 years of experience in hospitality industry.
