We are seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Chief Accountant to guide all aspects of our financial and regulatory compliance in Vietnam. The right candidate will have a collaborative spirit, backed by extensive hands-on experience with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and statutory requirements. You will be the central financial partner for our Vietnamese entity, ensuring the integrity of our accounting, managing tax obligations, and fostering strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Job Type: Contract (6-12 months)
Location: District 1, Ho Chi Minh
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the company's books of accounts in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS).
Own and manage the company's relationships with banking partners, ensuring all compliance requirements, foreign funding procedures, and administrative matters are handled efficiently and accurately.
Ensure timely statutory filings and reconciliation of VAT/WHT balances with tax returns and the general ledger.
Oversee all aspects of Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT), ensuring that the company's registration is current and that all monthly filings are accurate, timely, and fully compliant with Vietnamese tax law.
Manage the end-to-end process for output VAT, ensuring that all invoices issued to partners are accurate, timely, and adhere to Vietnam's tax reporting standards
Perform reconciliations across payment gateways, operator settlements, service providers, and ERP systems.
Support internal and external audits.
Collaborate with functional and business leaders to identify growth opportunities and manage costs.
Act as the primary liaison with local offices and internal stakeholders located outside Vietnam.

Yêu cầu công việc:

Must hold a valid Chief Accountant certificate and/or be a licensed CPA in Vietnam.
5+ years of proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably as a Chief Accountant for a foreign-invested company in Vietnam.
Deep, practical knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax laws (VAT, FCT), and other statutory regulations.
Demonstrable experience managing financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting in Vietnam.
Professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential for effective coordination with the global head office.
Proficiency in MS Excel and strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to connect financial performance with operational drivers and recommend improvements
Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate ambiguity, embrace change, and drive effective solutions
