• Responsible for making decisions regarding guest safety and ensuring lifeguard to bather ratios are adequate.
• Responsible for adjusting staff work schedules and assignment of extra tasks.
• Responsible for completing reports; shift reports, incidents, and accidents.
• Responsible for trouble shooting and handling customer concerns.
• Monitors activities of the swimming pools by providing the highest standard of lifeguarding with an emphasis on the prevention of accidents and injuries
• Maintain order and ensure proper conduct of persons using the facility.
• React to emergency situations and perform first aid and emergency aid when required.
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Ensure all areas around Swim City are clean and neat at all the times.
• Perform water chemistry and mechanical checks as required.
• Assist in adjusting equipment when necessary.
• Keep the manager or designate informed and make recommendations for improvements or changes.
• Complete administrative duties and related assignments
• Ensure shift reports and other administrative checklists are completed.
• Assist with maintaining sufficient inventory of first aid supplies, uniforms, swim lesson supplies are kept.
• Assist with customer service, program registration and F&B service.
• Required to attend and participate in regularly scheduled in-service training sessions and meetings throughout the year.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
• Perform NLS physical skill requirements.
• Current Water Safety Instructor certification
• CPR & NL certification is an advantage.
• Experience of Standard First Aid or Aquatic Emergency Care
• General computer experience and ability to use CLASS, MS Office, Excel, MS Outlook
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise considerable independence of judgment.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures
• Independent decision-making, problem solving and analytical skills.
