Factory Welding Qc Inspector

Job Summary:
Factory Welding QC Inspector is responsible to support for the Production Lead, qualification, fabrication and technical support during installation/construction, of all activities related to welding of structures and pipe fabrication in accordance with Project Specification.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES / NGHIA VU & TRÁCH NHIỆM
• Review and understand the welding procedure and requirements prior to welding.
• Monitor and inspect all work performed by tackers and welders and/or welding operators.
• Control/monitor/inspect welding before/during/after including, preheat, visual, distortion, [protected info]
• Coordinate with the site supervisor in arranging and for parameter acceptance of welding, and quality inspection of welds.
• Supervise and remind welders and/or welding operators to comply with the safety and quality requirements of the project.
• Inspect and evaluate welds according to specified inspection procedures, standards, codes, and drawings.
• Manage welding database input.
• Control NDT status and welding repair rate.
• Review course and effects of welding defects and take remedial actions.
• Knowledge of welding practices. It comprises the influence of welding parameters, application, and storage of filler metals, factors affecting variables.
• Report to Production Leader.
AUTHORITY/ QUYỀN HẠN CÔNG VIỆC:
• Supervise and guide the construction department to implement the processes and comply with the quality requirements of the project.
• Supervise the welding, cutting and fitting works in accordance with the project's process and quality requirements.
• Propose quality improvement reports (if any)
• Conduct failure analyses and cause analyses on welding issues.
• Coordinate with welding inspector on weld quality control.
