1. Financial Reporting:
Prepare, review and ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) or IFRS.
2. General Ledger Management:
Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
3. Tax Compliance:
Prepare, review and file VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Personal Income Tax (PIT), and Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT) returns.
4. Payroll Processing:
Review HR's monthly payroll process, ensuring compliance with social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance contributions.
5. Internal Controls & Audits:
Implement internal controls, coordinate with auditors, and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
6. Internal Liaison:
Communicate with manager to understand group financial needs and able to provide advisory on VN entity's requirement and compliance matters.
7. Team Supervision:
Manage junior accountants, providing guidance and ensuring timely completion of financial operations tasks. Mentor and lead junior accountants, establish clear performance metrics, and create a culture of accountability and learning.
8. Full-Spectrum Accounting Oversight:
Independently manage end-to-end accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, asset management, and monthly/year-end closing.
9. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments (HR, operations, procurement) to drive business performance and financial discipline.
10. Business Partnering & Value Creation:
Act as a proactive business partner—not just a reporter—bringing forward financial insights, cost-saving initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies.
1. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or ACCA/CIMA/CPA equivalent.
2. Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience in Vietnam, including 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
3. Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, and lead without constant direction from upper management.
4. Strong Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, modeling), accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Xero, Approval Max).
5. Fluency in Vietnamese and strong English communication (written and spoken), to liaise with Malaysia HQ.
6. Resourceful, solution-oriented, strong business acumen, high integrity, and confident in decision-making.
7. Understanding of both Malaysian and Vietnamese business practices can facilitate smoother operations.
