ROLE PURPOSE
The QAC Officer is responsible for verifying, checking and maintaining all quality, Assurance and Control procedures prior to and after manufacturing of the precast products.
They are responsible for confirming all the progress stages are passed through quality checks prior to cast and prior to deliver to job site following strict adherence to QA procedures and compliance.
They will manage and oversee the projects quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, and project specifications as well as develop and maintain QA/QC records of the products and materials used in production.
The QAC Officer will plan and prioritize panels cast in coordination with site requirements to meet project time frame and site installation sequence.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBLITIES (Typical Day)
- Maintaining daily quality control records & checklists of all produced elements.
- Issue daily production program to the team and updating actual workforce manhours. • Generate monthly production &elivery report project wise.
- Produce Birth Certificates of all scheduled deliveries for projects
- Arrange deliveries & transport according to site sequences in coordination with Operation manager. Update projects master file with daily output details.
- Maintain minimum stock level of production materials and processing orders after approval from OPM
- Submit fortnightly labour hire time sheets for approval from OPM.
- Perform tasks involving physical works which may include but not limited to:
- kneeling or crouching
- sitting or standing for long periods
- repetitive work
KEY RESULST AREAS - ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MEASUREABLES
In performing the following duties, the incumbent is required to comply with quality assurance policies and procedures, and other relevant legislative requirements applicable to the Institution.
Quality and Compliance:
- Maintaining highest quality products according to the Australian Precast Standards & projects specifications.
- Maintain quality control documents register.
- Keeping rejects and defects to the lowest ratio and retaining updated record with relevant NCR’s register file.
- Analysis projects design shop drawing to figure out the best practices & production methods in coordination with Operation Manager.
- Organisation of deliveries/erection, obtaining information, ordering of items/materials/plant, document control, filing, signoff certs in coordination with Operations Manager.

Communication and Team work
- Co-ordinate all deliveries, arrange transport and sequencing of jobs
- Assist other team members in all aspects of panel manufacture in relation to material ordering, panel information or any documentation
- Assist Manager/ Supervisor to assist staff and liaise with head office.
- Work as part of a team Relates to people from diverse social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Coordinate and action tasks Participate in toolbox meetings Provide clear and accurate & timely communication within yard team members or with installation site team through official & documented agreed methods (Emails)
Reporting/ Targets
- Report any risks or non-compliance in relation to reinforcement works. Ability to achieve targets as per daily production program.
Other adhoc duties as required from time to time.
