Job Purpose
The Legal Counsellor will oversee all legal matters of Triumph International Vietnam and provide direct advisory support to the Board of Management. Operating independently, this role is responsible for ensuring full legal compliance, mitigating risks, and enabling sound business decisions across Vietnam and supporting a few Southeast Asia countries.
Responsibilities
In-charge and manage all legal activities covering Commercial and Manufacturing operations of Triumph Vietnam
Advise management and functional leaders on strategic and operational matters with legal implications.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments for Vietnam jurisdictions.
Assess proposals, business strategies, and projects to ensure compliance and minimize legal and tax risks.
Represent the company in legal matters, including litigation and arbitration, in collaboration with external counsel when necessary.
Manage and coordinate external law and tax firms, ensuring efficient and cost-effective support.
Ensure compliance with corporate, labor, tax, customs, and other regulatory requirements.
Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance issues.
Support to review Legal documents for other ASEAN countries
Bachelor’s Degree in Law; Lawyer Practicing Certificate is mandatory.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an in-house counsel in a multinational company with broad legal responsibilities, or at least 3 years in a top-tier international law firm specializing in commercial law.
Strong knowledge of Vietnamese corporate, labor, tax, and customs laws; exposure to Southeast Asian jurisdictions is an advantage.
Proven ability to analyze complex issues, develop pragmatic solutions, and communicate them effectively to business leaders.
Demonstrated adaptability in applying legal expertise across diverse business models and cultural environments.
Familiarity with multinational corporate structures and practices is strongly preferred.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
