• Performs and continuously scouts market intelligence of new and prospective clients.
• Maintains a close working relationship with newly acquired and existing clients.
• Analyses the department’s strengths and weaknesses and recommend necessary actions to Management.
• Assists in telephone / email / walk-in / fax inquiries from prospective clients.
• Initiates business correspondence (quotation/proposals, memo, letters, company presentations, etc.) as deemed necessary.
• Assists in following up the status of quotations sent to clients until sales are secured.
• Maintains a close working relationship with the Head of Sales for the rates and quotations, including other charges from subcontractors and port operators.
• Coordinates with the respective departments all concerns, procedures and other requirements necessary for the success of the account management.
• Conducts sales visits to clients and makes project package presentation.
• Prepares monthly production and other sales-related reports through EDI enterprise system.
• Maintains and updates client database.
• Works with internal business units to promote and identify cross-selling opportunities and support to other services of Royal Cargo both to existing and prospective clients.
• Assists in collection / settlement of accounts.
• Assists the department in the overall day-to-day operation, customer service, and route / site survey.
• Performs other related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
Education
• College graduate or an equivalent of 5 years solid track record in the field of Sales and Business Development. Engineering background is an advantage.
Experience
• Has at least 5 years of sales or business development experience on the same field / industry.
• Hardworking; Responsible; Flexible in work and time assignment
