Job Description:
1. Product Performance Testing
- Conduct physical performance tests on furniture products (e.g., load-bearing, stability, abrasion resistance) and environmental adaptability tests (e.g., impact of temperature/humidity changes on materials).
- Verify compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) or client-specific requirements to ensure product safety and durability.
2. Material and Process Evaluation
- Test furniture materials for eco-friendliness (e.g., formaldehyde emissions), fire resistance, strength, etc., and evaluate the rationality of production processes.
- Analyze test data, propose material optimization or process improvement recommendations, and support R&D teams in enhancing product quality.
3. Issue Diagnosis and Improvement
- Identify product defects or potential risks (e.g., structural design flaws, material aging issues), draft detailed test reports, and drive corrective actions.
- Participate in product development cycles, providing design optimization suggestions from a testing perspective.
4. Standard and Process Management
- Monitor updates to domestic and international furniture industry regulations and testing standards, and develop internal testing procedures and guidelines.
- Manage calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and tools to ensure result accuracy.
5. Cross-Department Collaboration
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality control departments to ensure testing requirements are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support customer complaint analysis and refine testing protocols to reduce market issues.
Requirement:
1. Education Background
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Furniture Design, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. Familiarity with properties of common furniture materials (e.g., wood, metal, plastics).
- Proficiency in working in English or Chinese.
2. Technical Skills
- Proficient in furniture testing methods (e.g., mechanical testing, environmental simulation) and related equipment operation (e.g., universal material testing machines).
- Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., GB/T 3324-2017 General Technical Requirements for Wooden Furniture) and international certification processes (e.g., BIFMA, GREENGUARD).
3. Experience Requirements
- Junior role: 1-3 years of testing experience in furniture or manufacturing industries, with familiarity in laboratory management. Outstanding fresh graduates may qualify with relevant internships or project experience.
4. Soft Skills
- Analytical skills: Extract root causes from data and propose actionable solutions.
- Communication skills: Clearly convey test results and technical recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Sense of responsibility: Rigorously uphold quality standards and ensure objectivity in test outcomes.
5. Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CAD etc., software.
