Boarding House Executive - Nhân Viên Nội Trú

This position is open to female applicants only

• Ensure that all House members are involved in a diverse range of interests and aspects of school life.
• Uphold the ethical statements of the Council of International Schools and the mission statement of CISS.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress, in addition to addressing specific incidents.
• Be readily available to speak or meet with parents during the semester, particularly at the beginning and end of terms.
• Ensure that academic and House reports are written, proofread, and distributed by published deadlines.
• Manage disciplinary issues for students in the Boarding House.
• Be present in the Boarding House and prepared to respond to duty staff and student needs during most evenings and weekends.
• Fully engage in the life of the school by attending important student events.
• Attend Health and Safety Committee meetings and Head of House meetings as required.
• Actively participate in all School House activities.
• Monitor students’ academic responsibilities.
• Attend staff professional learning sessions, where appropriate.
• Manage student leave requests for boarding students.
• Maintain and further develop a culture of academic and personal success within the Boarding House.
• Ensure that boarding facilities are maintained to a high standard, reflecting 21st-century best practices in boarding.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Head of Boarding.
  

Personal Characteristics / Experience:

• Understanding of young people’s well-being, their needs, and ways to support them.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Professionalism and the ability to ensure confidentiality of information are essential.

Mandatory Training Level or Qualifications:

• Teaching qualifications are preferred but not essential.
• Working with Children Background Check.
• First Aid Certificate (School-based training available).
