Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier assessment

• New supplier assessment and follow up improvement action plan
• Annual audits and unplanned visits / audits to critical issues
• Support other site locations with supplier in ASIA
• Communicate Velcro requirements to suppliers, including product associated, process control and compliance
• Coordinate supplier material measurement and validation, leading the quality communication between Velcro and suppliers --- Transportation customers for PPAP
• Supplier for localization projects and mass production

Problem solving and Supplier performance

• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues in a timely manner.
• On site support on problem solving and customer visits / audits
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformances
• Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to help them meet quality requirements
• Monitor incoming check and lead problem solving if any
• Supplier quality performance tracking, supplier quality ration, reply time
• Report out the progress and performance at regular basis or required as needed
• Support global project in Vietnam and participate weekly calls
• Communicate and align with global supplier quality protocol

Others

• Work with global supplier quality and reginal quality
• Collaborate with local operations and procurement team
• Supplier quality training and drive supplier quality system improvement
• Support customer audits at suppliers
• Other tasks given by supervisor or the company.

Qualification:

• Proven experience in supplier quality management with 5 years at minimum
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001:2015. Prefer Automotive industry background and familiar with IATF 16949.
• Strong communication in English and Chinese at various levels internal and external
• Knowledge of Core tools, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Minitab.
• Engineering background is preferred.
• Problem solving skills, 8D and analytical thinking.
• Be proactive and accountable for responsibilities.
