Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This role is pivotal in executing HR strategies and operations that support the entire employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring HR policies are applied consistently and effectively. You will handle complex ER issues, drive key HR projects, and contribute to building a positive and high-performing work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Management & Development (50%)
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support hiring efforts for key roles and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
• Facilitate performance review cycles and support managers in creating effective development plans for their teams.
• Identify training needs and help coordinate or deliver training sessions on topics like harassment prevention, leadership skills, and company procedures.
• Support succession planning and talent calibration discussions.
Employee Relations & Advisory (20%)
• Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees on complex HR matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and career development.
• Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
• Provide expert coaching and guidance to people managers on all aspects of people management, leadership best practices, and company policy.
• Manage and resolve complex ER cases, minimizing legal risks and promoting a positive work environment.
HR Operations & Compliance (20%)
• Oversee and manage the entire employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
• Ensure all HR practices are in full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO).
• Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies.
• Analyze HR metrics and data (e.g., turnover, time to hire, engagement scores) to identify trends and recommend data-driven solutions.
• Manage and audit HRIS data for accuracy and integrity.
HR Projects & Initiatives (10%)
• Lead and contribute to strategic HR projects such as implementing new HR technology, rolling out employee wellness programs, or driving diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR function.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role, with a strong focus on employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
• Proven experience conducting workplace investigations and managing complex ER cases from start to finish.
• High level of business acumen and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Proficiency with HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, BambooHR) and MS Office Suite.
Preferred:
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is highly desirable.
• Experience in [Your Industry, e.g., Tech, Healthcare, Manufacturing] is a plus.
• Experience with project management and leading HR initiatives.
