Reporting: Reporting: Solid line to Chief Accountant and General Director (Vietnam); responsible for part of, or fully, in a dotted line reporting relationship to the Financial Controller (Singapore).
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our logistics company in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai. This position is designed for a proactive professional who will serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Accountant and General Director in Vietnam and may maintain a dotted line reporting relationship to the Financial Controller in Singapore. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of logistics operations (warehousing, freight forwarding) and be capable of taking on part or all of the key responsibilities in monthly accounts closing, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- General duty:
• Follow SOPs and work instructions.
• Support other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Daily work:
• Check data entered into the system by warehouse staff to ensure data is filled in completely.
• Updated the selling unit price to the system (Storage & Handling)
• Check the documentation
• Other tasks assigned by Managers.
- Documentation & Reporting:
• Collect and store operational documents.
• Report and resolve system/data issues.
• Provide data for KPI and billing reports.
• Provide the data to Customers when required.
• At Monthly end, send the spreadsheet (warehouse rental and handling) to Customers, after getting confirmation from Customers, then create the invoice for them.
• Maintain issue tracking list.
- Customer & Inventory:
• Respond to customer feedback with supervisor support.
• Check received stock and resolve missing data.
• Work with warehouse staff to perform warehouse cycle counts at the end of the year or any time needed.
- Under the assignment of the General Director and the Chief Accountant, will be responsible for/in charge of part of, or on behalf of the Chief Accountant, fully in charge of one of the following functional duties:
• Collaborate directly with the Chief Accountant & General Director as a business partner, providing financial insights and operational support.
• Manage monthly accounts closing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and submit financial, cash flow forecast and HR report monthly, and annual budgets, as well as other ad hoc reports as and when required.
• Liaise with the payroll agent for payroll-related matters.
• Liaise with external auditors during the statutory audit.
• Monitor and analyse operational costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, company policies, and group-level requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Support the implementation of financial controls and process improvements.
• Provide financial forecasts and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of logistics operations to accurately reflect business activities in accounts.
• Coordinate with the Financial Controller in Singapore on group reporting, compliance, and budgeting.
• Participate in cross-border projects and audits as assigned by the Financial Controller.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A Chief Accountant certificate or international qualifications are an advantage.
• Experience in a Chief Accountant or similar role, preferably in the logistics/warehousing industry, is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and experience in multinational companies.
• Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience in logistics, warehousing, or freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations and cost structures.
• Experience with monthly accounts closing and budgeting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a strategic partner to senior management.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in Vietnamese; proficiency in English is an advantage.
• Comfortable working in a matrix reporting environment, balancing local and regional responsibilities.
• Familiarity with IFRS (especially lease accounting IFRS 16) is a plus
• Able to work and meet tight monthly reporting deadlines.

• Experience in a multinational logistics environment.
• Familiarity with Vietnamese tax regulations and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and efficiency.
