About this position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join. You will take charge of system architecture and play a key leadership role in the development and delivery of our web and mobile applications. In addition to hands-on development, you will provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to the Vietnam-based frontend and backend team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Vietnam development team (frontend and backend), providing technical direction, guidance, and mentorship.

• Design and own the overall system architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and security.

• Hands-on development across the stack: Java Spring Boot (backend), PostgreSQL, React (frontend), and React Native or Flutter (mobile).

• Collaborate with the onshore full stack engineer and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.

• Set and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development workflows.

• Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and help team members grow their technical skills.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues as they arise.

• Contribute to product discussions and help shape the product experience, especially in the absence of a dedicated UI/UX designer.

• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance engineering culture within the Vietnam team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience in full stack development, with proven experience in technical leadership or team lead roles.

• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases).

• Proficient in React for frontend development.

• Hands-on experience with React Native or Flutter for cross-platform mobile app development.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor remote or offshore development teams.

• Proven ability to design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable systems.

• Experience working in distributed teams and communicating across cultures and time zones.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to drive projects forward with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Docker, or Kubernetes.

• Experience in a startup environment or small, fast-moving teams.

• Basic sense for UI/UX and product usability.

• Knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
