Raw Material Specialist

Job Overview

Responsible for PR/PO creation, verifying vendors’ shipping documents, following up on shipments in transit, anticipating delivery risks, and defining mitigation actions proactively.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Responsible for PR/PO creation and ensuring all transactions related to raw materials supply planning processing in SAP are performed correctly and timely.

2. Establish SOPs and working instructions for monthly/daily routine tasks.

3. Establish a tool/procedure with shipping lines for tracking shipments in transit.

4. Analyze and define reliable shipping lines that consistently deliver shipments on time with reasonable transit time, then ask vendors to use the defined shipping lines for our shipments.

5. Analyze and define monthly delivery schedule based on monthly consumption requirements, orders in transit, safety stocks, supply lead time, risk period, and replenishment plan.

6. Communicate Purchase Orders to the vendors with requested delivery dates.

7. Liaise with vendors to ensure the accuracy of shipping documents and proper shipping schedules.

8. Oversee the delivery of raw materials and shipments in transit.

9. Anticipate delivery risks and define/propose mitigation actions proactively.

10. Liaise with the Operational Planning team, IMEX team, and Procurement team to ensure the consistent and adequate supply of raw materials necessary for production.

11. Daily check and update raw materials Stock-In pipeline.

12. To inform the Managers of any irregularities or problems that require assistance such as late delivery, shortage of supply issues,…

13. Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate.

14. Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, preferably in international trade.

- 5+ years of working experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience in raw material import and/or purchasing.

Prerequisites for the assignment

- Language Fluent in English

- MS Office and other Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel applications Familiar with SAP & ERP
