Mechanical Engineer

• Mechanical Engineer, under moderate supervision, performs routine, skilled mechanical work to support the daily operation of offshore drilling rigs to ensure safe and efficient operation, ensure that rigs meet all required regulatory and company requirements.

• Make a plan for maintenance and repair of equipment and mechanical systems according to international standards, equipment manufacturer recommendations, operating instructions.

• Instruct the maintenance crews to carry out troubleshooting, repair and routine PM. Ensure maintenance plans are carried out in accordance with company health, safety and environmental policies and the Class (API, ABS,…)

• Follow-up with rig crews to ensure the PMs carried out as per Maximo.

• Liaise/ work with OEM, service providers on technical aspect.

• Update new, latest techniques for maintenance, equipment to increase equipment service life and minimize maintenance cost.

• Carry out the task assigned by supervisor.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related

• Generally at least 03 years of experience in field

• Good knowledge of mechanical discipline, especially drilling equipment such as Topdrive TDS-8SA, TDX-1000, Cat engine 3516, C175… Favceo crane 7.5/10K, Mudpump, ... prerer hand-on skill

• Good knowledge of hydraulic system, ability to interpret the hydraulic schematic diagphram and trouble shooting

• Good knowledge of offshore drilling rig safety, environmental, regulatory and operational requirements and procedures

• Knowledge of classification society (ABS, API...), statutory, industry standard compliance

• Understand the daily operation of drilling rig and maintenance works

• Good understanding of various phases of the operation and the impact upon maintenance and service provision

• Advanced English proficiency (four skills)

• Advanced communication skills

• Able to recognize, analyze, and solve problems across projects and in complex situations.
