Plastic Engineer

CSW Industrials (Nasdaq: CSWI) an US publicly traded company in Nasdaq stock market with approx. $6B market cap that serves a variety of HVAC end markets through 3 business units - Contractor Solutions, Engineered Building Solutions and Specialized Reliability Solutions. We’re having significant manufacturing base in Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Zone, Dong Nai named TRUAIRE Vietnam.

We’re looking for Plastic Engineer responsible to work closely with internal groups, and to coordinate the corresponding manufacturing partnership team(s) (Production, HR, Import/Export, Planning, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Technical Development). Ensures continued supply of Product / Finished Product as per market demand.

Plastic engineer is responsible for engineering in materials, injection / extrusion processes, and tooling production issues in plastic injection / extrusion technology. Besides that, Plastic engineer is also responsible for full product assembly.

This job will require oversea business travelling when necessary.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop, qualify new materials / product to adapt to Customer’s requirements including compliance.

• Support the production and engineering needs through the set-up and operation of plastic manufacturing processes.

• Develop test protocol (under International Standards) to qualify product, establish specification, standards.

• Understand BOM structure & can create / update BOM, Product database.

• Develop, troubleshoot and optimize plastic manufacturing processes.

• Work with production to transfer the engineering point from product knowledge, work instruction, sample to Production.

• Coordinate with the Production Managers to align product and machine capacity and ensure project timelines are met.

• Manage Lab room activities.

• Run VE projects.

• Assist in production problem solving, support R&D projects.

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Vietnamese (required). Must be able to communicate clearly and directly with all levels of the organization.

• 5+ years of related experience and knowledge in plastic extrusion, plastic injection, assembly line.

• Knowledge of screw extrusion, extrusion machine.

• Knowledge about 2nd processes such as punching, ultrasonic welding, printing, spaying.

• Lean manufacturing orientated

• Able to understand and document a process, specification accurately

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

• Detail-oriented, able to handle multiple projects

• Team environment and independent working experience

• Hands-on-style

• Collaborative, proactive attitude.

• AutoCAD, Solid Work knowledge as well as general software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Bsc in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer engineering or any related.
