Network Security (Specialist)

• Manage Shinhan's infrastructure including firewalls, network devices, data lines

• Propose and evaluate the security level of SSV

• Control security and risks of IT systems

• To be a project manager when there is any IT related project

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage network security architecture, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security solutions.

• Monitor network traffic and analyze security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

• Perform regular security assessments, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk assessments.

• Respond promptly to network security incidents and implement mitigation measures.

Responsibilities and

• Ensure the organization's network security systems are up-to-date with the latest patches, updates, and security protocols.

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure that network security best practices are integrated into IT projects and operations.

• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational requirements.

• Provide security training and awareness to staff across the organization.

• Prepare detailed reports on network security status, incidents, and remediation efforts for management and relevant stakeholders.

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in network security or a related role.

• Proficient in configuring and managing network security devices (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, etc.).

• Deep understanding of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and VPN technologies.

• Hands-on experience with security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Snort, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of network security vulnerabilities and how to mitigate them.

• Experience with incident response, including network forensics and analysis.

• Familiarity with industry best practices and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCSP, CCNA Security, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

• Nice to have:

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation of security tasks.

• Familiarity with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools and network monitoring solutions.
