Mechanical Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with test engineers in manual/automation test system development and product testing for Google consumer hardware electronic products at multiple CM site.

• Perform design for manufacturability/assembly/test (DFx) analysis and design for cost (DFC) analyses for factory test platforms, effectively communicating required design and material changes to contract manufacturers and x-functional engineering teams.

• Perform system bring-up, design validation, DOE, debug/troubleshooting, and failure analysis investigation work.

• Use CAD tools (Solidworks, NX, Pro-E) to evaluate 3D models of fixtures/product designs.

• Perform Tolerance Analysis of critical test fixture stack-up’s that interface with product features requiring high precision alignment.

• Interface with vendors and qualify strategic partners. Travel to manufacturing locations to ensure processes, bring-up and specs are being met correctly on site.

• Develop and maintain strong functional relationships across multidisciplinary teams to anticipate future design changes that will impact your team’s development.

• To onsite support CM based on project requirement.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, related engineering field, or equivalent.

• Experience with test fixture design, assembly and development, system bring-up, design validation, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with ongoing system monitoring and maintenance.

• Experience with robot dispatching optimization and automation system UPH analysis.

• Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools such as Pro Engineer, NX or SolidWorks.

• Language: Vietnamese and Mandarin as working languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• English is preferred

• Experience in test station development.

• Experience with factory testing, fixture design, tolerance analysis, system bring-up, and design validation.

• Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and failure analysis investigation.

• Experience developing effective technical relationships with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and technical engineering teams.

• Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, integration, and test system bring-up.

• Experience in a machine shop and rapid prototyping technologies.
