Design And Proposal Engineer

NIC Global is partnering with a leading European automation group to recruit a Design and Proposal Engineer for their Vietnam Drive Service Workshop in Hồ Chí Minh City and Robotics Technical & Service Center in Yên Phong, Bắc Ninh. Their international work culture emphasizes career development and provides shuttle transport for employees between Ha Noi and Yen Phong.

• Collaborate with internal engineering teams (all communication in English) to develop, review and finalize 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks.

• Produce and maintain design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications and change requests.

• Validate prototypes and pilot runs; collect feedback from QA and production teams, then iterate designs to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.

• Support proposal activities by preparing technical scope, cost estimates and feasibility studies.

• Liaise with local vendors to hand off production packages and resolve any technical or quality issues during fabrication and assembly.

• Participate in risk assessments and propose mitigation plans for design-related issues.

• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing best practices, updating standard work instructions, and identifying opportunities to optimize processes and reduce costs

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in machine design or automotive component design, with proficiency in any 3D CAD tool (SolidWorks preferred).

• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (stamping, machining, welding, surface treatment) and relevant engineering standards (ISO, IEC).

• Able to draft clear technical documentation and communicate complex concepts in English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
