Market Research & Brand Identification

• Conduct thorough research to identify emerging and established Japanese indie beauty brands with unique, high-quality products suitable for the Vietnam market.
• Analyze trends in the Japanese beauty industry, focusing on skincare, makeup, haircare, and other relevant categories.
• Assess brand reputation, product quality, and alignment with Vietnamese consumer preferences (e.g., natural ingredients, innovative formulations, etc.).

Relationship Building

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Japanese indie brand owners, manufacturers, and representatives.
• Communicate effectively in fluent Japanese (written and verbal) to negotiate terms, discuss product specifications, and build trust.

Product Evaluation

• Evaluate product quality, packaging, ingredients, and compliance with Vietnamese import and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure products meet safety, labeling, and market entry requirements for Vietnam.

Negotiation & Procurement

• Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, and distribution agreements with brands to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Secure samples for testing and approval by the company prior to finalizing partnerships.

Market Alignment

• Provide insights on Japanese beauty trends and consumer preferences to align product offerings with Vietnam market demands.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies for product launches in Vietnam.

Logistics & Coordination

• Work with logistics and supply chain teams to facilitate smooth import processes from Japan to Vietnam.
• Monitor timelines, delivery schedules, and inventory needs to ensure consistent supply.
• Coordinating to perform other tasks as requested by the Line Manager.

• Language Proficiency
• Proficiency in English and/or Japanese is a plus for internal collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of beauty products, including skincare, makeup, and haircare, with an ability to identify high-quality, innovative offerings.
• Passion for the beauty industry and familiarity with indie brand ecosystems.
• Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or buyer roles, preferably in the beauty or consumer goods sector.
• Excellent research, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Preferably based in Japan for direct access to brands and market insights.
• Candidates based in Vietnam are also considered, provided they can effectively conduct remote research and communication with Japanese brands.
