Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Regional Strategic Supplier Scouting and Category Purchasing for Bosch Automotive, you will play a pivotal role in our purchasing organization tasked with executing supplier scouting activities to meet the company's manufacturing needs. Your primary responsibility will be to identify potential suppliers, conduct detailed analysis of these suppliers and make initial introductions. You will be directly involved in supporting localization activities within ASEAN and be the key contact for supplier scouting initiatives in the region.
The ideal candidate possesses prior experience in any manufacturing field and an interest in automotive industry. With the preferred candidate having a background in industrial engineering or related field.
You will be working within a global team responsible for procuring components for automotive parts manufacturing in ASEAN. A challenging yet rewarding environment that requires an accountable, independent individual who operates on their own initiative and can contribute to the company's mission.
Job Duties:
Supplier strategy development
Research and investigate regional supplier base
Conduct plant assessment
Technical and commercial evaluation of suppliers
Supplier relationship management
Support quality assurance (ISO, IATF16949)
Collaboration with internal departments / stakeholders
Support localization activities
Supplier capacity planning
Maintain regional supplier database
Ensure compliance and risk management
Initiate Regional and market research

Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Engineering / Business / Economics / Supply Chain Management
Experience:
2 years' experience in any manufacturing or supply chain management field (Preferably automotive)
Skills required:
Structured working approach
Purchasing / procurement processes
Understanding of manufacturing (Automotive knowledge is an advantage)
Excellent communication and people skills
Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
General experience in software tools
Good team player with strong presentation skills
Good problem solving skills
Communication:
High proficiency in English
Regional 2nd Language would be an advantage
Challenge:
Frequent travelling within ASEAN
Independent working capability is required
