CN Green Roof Asia (CNGRA) is a joint venture of Climate Fund Managers - Climate Investor One and Norfund, for the investment, construction and operation of Rooftop Solar C&I in Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines.
POSITION SCOPE
The Project Assistant will support rooftop solar projects through technical coordination, supplier communication, and project administration. This role requires fluency in Chinese and English, with a technical background to understand solar project processes and collaborate effectively with engineering teams, Chinese suppliers, and local contractors. The position ensures smooth execution from procurement to installation and project closeout.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Multilingual Interpretation & Translation
• Attend onsite and online meetings to directly interpret between Vietnamese, Chinese, and English for effective cross-language communication.
• Translate project documents between Vietnamese and Chinese if required.
• Review and check the accuracy of Chinese-language reports and documents to ensure consistency and correctness.
2. Stakeholder Coordination & Meeting Support
• Be the main contact for scheduling meetings, managing entrance registration, and coordinating project-related tasks.
• Act as liaison between internal teams (e.g., O&M), General Contractors, Clients, Owner’s Engineers, and local Authorities.
3. Project Documentation and Management
• Collect, photocopy, scan, and archive project documents in both soft and hard copies.
• Maintain proper document filing systems and ensure consistency across client, contractor, and internal documentation.
• Remind contractors and vendors to submit/upload required documents in a timely manner.
4. Administrative & Financial Support
• Process vendor payments, including for EPC contractors, insurers, and Owner’s Engineers.
• Support the site office administrative tasks and general coordination activities.
• Work closely with the Finance team to gain a clear understanding of internal payment requirements and processes, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
5. Project Lifecycle Assistance
• Assist in the smooth transition of projects from development to construction and operations.
• Act as the interface between various internal and external stakeholders as assigned by the Project Manager.
• Provide ad-hoc support to other ongoing or upcoming projects as needed.
6. Company-wide Engagement
• Attend internal training sessions and events at the Head Office in Ho Chi Minh City.
• Be ready to support multiple projects if requested, especially during peak project periods.
POSITION HOLDER REQUIREMENTS
Formal Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related technical field (Electrical, Renewable energy, etc.)
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, engineering support, or administrative roles in construction, energy, or renewable sectors.
• Proficient in Chinese (Mandarin) across all five skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and interpretation.
• Fluent in English for both verbal and written communication.
• Prior experience working with international teams or Chinese suppliers is an advantage.
• Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint), document management tools, and cloud-based platforms.
• Experience with project management is a plus.
