Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and adherence to safety and cost standards. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing workflows, and ensuring that production targets are met on time and within budget.

• Production Planning & Execution
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and business objectives.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
• Ensure optimal utilization of resources (labor, materials, equipment).
• Team Leadership
• Supervise and support production staff, including supervisors and operators.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching/training.
• Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
• Quality Control
• Ensure production meets company and industry quality standards.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to address defects and implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs such as yield, scrap, and rework rates.
• Process Improvement
• Identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
• Lead or participate in improvement projects.
• Health & Safety Compliance
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct safety audits and training sessions.
• Promote a culture of safety throughout the production team.
• Inventory & Resource Management
• Coordinate with supply chain to ensure availability of raw materials.
• Manage inventory levels to minimize shortages or excess.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and downtime reduction.
• Budget & Cost Control
• Monitor production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure operations stay within budget.
• Analyze financial performance related to production.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
• Proficiency with production planning and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in production/manufacturing roles.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is an advantage.
