• Operations & Delivery (60%) – Partner with Development, Engineering, and Materials teams to identify technical risks early, review Tech Packs, propose improvements in materials, constructions, and costing, and ensure Tech 1 and RTB approvals are achieved on time. Support tear-down and fit/wear testing to ensure products are ready for mass production.
• Collaboration & Team Building (20%) – Coach and mentor team members and factory partners; foster effective communication and collaboration with global stakeholders to drive problem solving and decision-making.
• Process Improvement (15%) – Identify and implement best practices in construction, materials, and manufacturing processes; support long-term projects with suppliers to enhance fit, performance, and consistency across product lines.
• Training & Development (5%) – Visit factories and suppliers, research new technologies and materials, and participate in training sessions and workshops to strengthen technical expertise.
** Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Textile Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
** Experience:
• 5–8 years of engineering or development experience in the global footwear industry.
• Strong expertise in material construction, product development, and footwear assembly methods.
• In-depth knowledge of SATRA material testing standards, protocols, and test result interpretation.
• Skilled in pattern creation, upper construction, and full shoe assembly.
** Skills & Competencies:
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to interface with senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in materials, molds, lasts, compound development, and foot anatomy.
• Skilled in using measurement and testing tools (e.g., calipers, hardness gauge, profile gauge, Brannock device).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PLM systems.
