Product Engineer - Furniture

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Product Engineer to join our Technical Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and reviewing technical drawings, supporting the product development process, and ensuring manufacturability for furniture and handicraft products (wood, bamboo & rattan, ceramics, etc.). This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to work closely with design, production, and quality teams. • Develop, review, and maintain technical drawings and specifications for furniture and handicraft products.
• Translate design concepts into production-ready documents, ensuring feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Work closely with the production teams (wood, bamboo & rattan, ceramics, metal, etc.) to optimize product structures and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Conduct product testing and ensure compliance with technical standards and customer requirements.
• Provide technical insights during product development to ensure alignment with production capabilities and market expectations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to materials, tooling, and manufacturing efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Furniture Design/Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3–5 years) in product engineering within furniture, handicraft, or manufacturing industries.
• Proficiency in CAD/technical drawing software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for wood, bamboo/rattan, ceramics, and related materials.
• Ability to balance design intent with production feasibility and cost efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to coordinate effectively with both local and international teams.
• Good command of English is an advantage.
