Electrical Design Engineer - Solar Projects

- Vung Tau, HCM City, Vietnam, OR

- HCMC, Vietnam

Vietnamese nationality

English skills: Good

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent

· Minimum 5 year experience in electrical design, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects.

· Proficiency in PVsyst, ETAP, PowerFactory, and AutoCAD.

· Strong knowledge of electrical standards (IEC, IEEE) and Grid Code

Responsibilities

· Perform electrical calculations using PVsyst, ETAP, or PowerFactory for solar PV projects.

· Develop electrical SLDs, layouts, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.

· Conduct load list preparation, cable sizing, and equipment sizing.

· Perform grounding and lightning protection system design and assessment.

· Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE standards and local Grid Code requirements.

· Design of HV/MV systems including cables, switchgear (load breaker, vacuum breaker, switchgear cabinets, etc.), and transformers.

· Coordinate with cross-functional teams (civil, mechanical, SCADA) to ensure integration of the electrical design.

· Support technical documentation, tender preparation, and project execution phases.
