Legal Counsel

Buymed is Vietnam’s leading healthcare technology company, trusted by over 35,000 pharmacies, clinics, and hospitals through our platform Thuocsi.vn. To reach end customers directly, we are building Circa, a new modern pharmacy chain redefining access to safe, affordable medicines and health products.

We are looking for Legal Counsel to manage legal and compliance matters for Buymed’s e-commerce platform in Vietnam, with potential exposure to regional markets. This role involves providing expert legal advice, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing contracts, and mitigating legal risks to support the company’s operations and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive legal advisory for the e-commerce platform in Vietnam, covering regulatory compliance, operational legal matters, and sector-specific laws (e.g., telecommunications, media, healthcare, pharmaceuticals).
• Manage all contract-related activities, including drafting, reviewing, revising, and supporting business teams in contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and minimize risks.
• Ensure strict compliance with relevant regulations by implementing due diligence processes and managing post-license compliance reporting.
• Assist in litigation and risk management by supporting legal dispute handling, representing the company in legal proceedings, and coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
• Conduct legal risk analysis and reporting, providing timely counsel to executives on various legal matters, and collaborate strategically with management to align legal strategies with business objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (or higher).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience: at least 2 years in a law firm and at least 2 years in e-commerce (either law firm or in-house environment). Experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Vietnamese laws related to e-commerce; familiarity with international laws impacting corporate operations is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment capabilities.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity combined with business-oriented thinking.
