ARTEC Team in Phnom Penh Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam are looking to hire talented mid-to-senior level Designers for Interior and Architecture. Delving into Hospitality, F&B, Retail, Commercial, Residential, Showrooms and Offices, from small scale to urban scale projects.

The internal team culture is multi-cultural, with an avid consensus on quality, aesthetic and human focused creations, with emphasis on meaningful design. Where team members are encouraged to ask questions, challenge ideas and methods as well as practice diligence in their craft, to learn and support other members of the ARTEC family, associates and partners. The right candidate would have the opportunity to work on projects in Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and other ASEAN destinations, with support and collaboration with China based team members.

Interior Designer / Architectural Designer / Technical* Designer

GENERAL SCOPE

1. Undertaking Design Projects from Concept to Completion. (May involve GC Supervision or Administration).

2. Work with Team Members to define project schedules and requirements, and the brief.

3. Ability to communicate, manage, coordinate and work with external consultants, engineers, suppliers, contractors and the client, other stakeholders or their representative(s).

4. To be able to plan, produce and review drawings, in all stages of the design process.

5. Put in practice the candidate’s detail-minded, time conscious and strong interpersonal skills.

6. Has innate initiative and able to express opinions and explain thought processes and logic through detailed communication methods.

7. Ability to interpret, communicate and create solutions based on design intent.

8. Able to use AutoCAD, a 3D Modelling Software (3DS Max / SketchUp / Rhino or Similar).

9. Good Knowledge of Construction Materials, Construction Phases and Construction Details.

10. Ability to Compile Schedules and Other Tables necessary to Support the Design Drawings Package.

11. Ability to Follow Drawing Standards and Other Instructions on Workflow Processes.

12. Able to Hand Sketch.

13. Create and Support Narrative(s), Mood Boards and Other Presentation Related Productions and Reviews.

14. Support, Direct and Review 3D Renderings.

1. English Language ability to be Mid to Professional level.

2. Khmer, Vietnamese or Mandarin (Chinese) Language ability will be an Advantage.

3. Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture, or equal / similar.

4. High Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD.

5. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop.

6. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign would be an Advantage.

7. Proficient in either SketchUp, or 3DS Max, or Rhino3D, or Other Similar 3D modelling software.

8. Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS Environment.

9. Proficient in Standard Microsoft Office365 software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS.

10. Ability to Hand Sketch.

SKILLS

1. Proven Time Management, Planning and Problem-Solving Skills.

2. Minimum 2 to 5 or more years of experience.

3. Familiar with Common Construction Finishes, Materials and Methods.

4. Knowledge of Coordination and Management related processes with 3 rd party stakeholders.

5. Proven On-Site experience.

6. Fabrication Experience is an Advantage.

7. Keen eye for Color, Texture, Shades, Lighting, Scale, Mood Imagery.

8. Self-Starter attitude.

9. Experience in FF&E and Specifications.

10. Strong Experience in Hospitality, or F&B, or Offices.

11. Having Experience in Retail, or Commercial, Residential, or Showrooms is an Advantage.

12. Knowledge of Vietnam, or Cambodia, or Malaysia Building Regulations would be an Advantage.
