Business Intelligence Engineer (Contractor)

Key objectives

• Play a crucial role in managing data retrieval and analysis within our organization

• Transform data into actionable insights that enhance the value of our business

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and Manage BI Solutions:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain standard business metrics inside enterprise business intelligence solutions

• Create reports and dashboards to improve business processes and decision-making.

• Troubleshoot performance issue related to dashboard/dataset and implement optimize solution.

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency by validating data for new and existing dataset

2. Data Modelling:

• Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.

• Work closely with Data Engineer to implement change to data warehouse as needed

3. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strategies using technology solutions (PowerBI, PowerApps, Databricks, .etc)

• Adjust access to the data and the reports as needed

• Interpret trends and patterns in data to drive informed decision-making.

4. Other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in computer science, business or related field

- Experience: Experience with SQL, Python and Spark/Databricks

- Skills:

-- A problem solver and critical thinker, can-do attitude.

-- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).

-- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
