Chi Tiết Công Việc

1. Strategic Sourcing & Risk Management

Strategic Procurement: Lead the end-to-end procurement strategy for upwards of 200,000 MT of milled rice per year.
Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze daily market fluctuations, crop progress and patterns to predict price trends and advise senior management on hedging/stocking positions.
Risk Mitigation: Develop strategies to minimize supplier defaults and price volatility.

2. Supplier Network & Operations

Network Expansion: aggressively expand the supplier base, moving beyond brokers to direct miller relationships in key provinces to reduce dependency on sole sources.
Relationship Management: Manage high-stakes negotiations and enforce contracts with millers, ensuring contract integrity and resolving disputes regarding quality or delivery failure.
Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the factory and supply chain teams to ensure Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery, minimizing costs and optimizing stock holding levels.

3. Compliance & Projects

Sustainability Leadership: Lead niche procurement projects including Organic, and SRP (Sustainable Rice Platform) initiatives.
Audit & Compliance: Oversee SAP PO data management and ensure compliance with 3rd party certifications (BRC, IFS, SMETA) and customer certifications.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the daily activities of the procurement team, setting KPIs for cost savings and supplier performance.

Qualifications/Skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain / Agriculture / Engineering / Management
A minimum of 7-10 years of working experience in procurement and with procurement of agricultural commodities in Thailand
Experience of rice or paddy procurement in Thailand is an added advantage
Logical thinking ability and the openness to work in a multicultural environment
Skilled in use of Excel and basic knowledge of SAP
Native Thai (excellent negotiation skills) and Business Level English
Ability to work independently and self driven
