Product Planner (Automatic Machine) (Tt27127) [Dong Nai]

【Job Summary 】
Seeking a highly motivated Product Planning Manager to join Matsuya R& Vietnam, a leading Japanese-owned company specializing in automated sewing machines and contract manufacturing of sewn products. This role is based at our Innovation Center (MIC) in Dong Nai, Vietnam, and will play a critical part in shaping our product strategy and driving new product development to support both our automatic machine business and OEM sewn product business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying market trends, understanding customer needs, defining the product roadmap, and working closely with R&, engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams. You will help define and deliver innovative sewn and automated sewing solutions (including robotics), balancing cost, quality, and time-to-market. This is a strategic role at the intersection of technology, manufacturing, and market insight, helping to ensure our continued leadership in the sewing automation and medical / safety sewn-product industries.

【Responsiblities】
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities, especially in sectors such as automotive (seat covers, airbags), and industrial automation.
- Define and maintain the product roadmap, from concept through to launch — including automatic sewing machines, 3D sewing robot systems, and OEM sewn products.
- Collaborate with R& and engineering teams to develop product specifications, design features, and performance targets.
- Work with the team members to prototype, test, and validate new sewing automation systems.
- Manage cross-functional teams (R&, quality, production, procurement, sales) to ensure alignment on product goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with manufacturing/contract production sites to ensure product designs are manufacturable with high quality and cost-efficiency.
- Define pricing strategies, model costing, and product positioning together with the commercial / sales team.
- Develop marketing collateral, product training materials, and launch plans for internal teams and external customers.
- Monitor product performance after launch (KPIs such as sales, quality issues, cost variance) and drive continuous improvements.
- Serve as the voice of the customer by gathering feedback from clients and stakeholders, and translating that into product improvements.

【Must】
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 years of experience as a product planner in any industry.
- English (Intermediate level)

【Prefer】
- Japanese (N2 or higher level)
- Have experience in the factory automation (FA) equipment or automation machinery industry.
- Have experience in a start-up or building a new department.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
