GWA Asia is a reputable legal and tax consultancy firm with headquarter in Shanghai and presence in various SEA countries, including Vietnam. GWA Asia has a multicultural team of lawyers, accountants, accounting experts and provides assistance to a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from large enterprises to SMEs, operating across various sectors.
GWA is also providing market entry services to his clients and is managing the local activities of ITALIAN MANUFACTURING (IMT) in Vietnam. IMT Vietnam is a network of 7 Italian companies, manufacturers of machine tool / metalworking machines and accessories, that agreed to cooperate with the objective of enhancing, individually and collectively, their visibility and competitiveness in the Vietnamese market, undertaking a joint program of promotional activities and exchanging information of industrial, commercial, technical and technological nature.
Position Overview
GWA is seeking a Business Development and Marketing Assistant for the Vietnam market. The main responsibility will be supporting the growth and development of IMT Vietnam, under the supervision of IMT manager, an Italian PhD engineer experienced in business development and based in Vietnam since several years. This role involves market research, business development, relationships management, event coordination and digital marketing to enhance the visibility of IMT Members in Vietnam. The Business Development and Marketing Assistant will also support GWA Team for marketing activities.
Responsibilities
• Support GWA’s market entry and business advisory projects in Vietnam, in coordination with GWA legal, tax, and accounting teams, when required.
• Act as a liaison between IMT activities and GWA to ensure alignment with broader client support and service strategies.
• Conduct market research on key industries relevant to IMT and latest market trends in Vietnam; analyze the market and map customers in different segments: analyze market demand (end-user sectors), analyze competition, identify distribution channels (agents/distributors)
• Develop and implement business development strategies and effective promotional initiatives (in cooperation with IMT Members and GWA manager) to increase IMT's visibility, collect interests and business opportunities and generate leads.
• Plan and organize industry events, seminars, and workshops to showcase IMT member companies' technologies and solutions.
• Participate (with IMT booth or visits) to the most important machine tool exhibitions and events in Vietnam
• Develop and implement cross-platform marketing campaigns (Newsletter, social media, LinkedIn, IMT website and others) in collaboration with the marketing teams of IMT member companies
• Create and update a database of relevant contacts for IMT (agents, dealers, customers, partners).
• Report results of IMT Vietnam activities to IMT Members
• Support Sales Managers and local agents of IMT Members in Vietnam
• 3-5 years of experience in Business Development.
• Higher education (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Experience in the machine tools, machinery or mechanical sectors is preferred.
• Experience in digital marketing and social media is a plus.
• Vietnamese Native Speaker. Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). Fluency in Italian is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
• Availability to travel within Vietnam and occasionally to Italy/abroad (for short periods to visit exhibitions and IMT Members companies)
