The Master Data Administrator at Visy Logistics is responsible for maintaining high standards of data integrity across key business systems including TMS, WMS, ERP, and other logistics platforms. This role focuses on executing and supporting data governance initiatives by managing the creation, cleansing, and maintenance of core datasets. The analyst will work closely with business units and the Master Data Manager to ensure consistent and accurate data is available for operations, finance and reporting.
This role will be focusing on Air and Ocean Freight specifically in Cargowise to maintain vendor and customer rates.
Responsibilities
Master Data Maintenance: Ensure all master data is created, maintained, and retired according to defined policies and standards.
Data Quality Monitoring: Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve data inconsistencies or quality issues.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with business stakeholders to ensure requirements for master data are understood and implemented correctly.
Support Projects & Enhancements: Assist in data migration, testing, and validation activities during system implementations or upgrades.
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of data standards and processes; ensure compliance with data governance frameworks.
Mandatory experience
1–3 years of experience in a data-focused role, preferably within logistics or a related industry.
Experience working with enterprise systems and master data tools.
Understanding of Ocean and Air Freight Customer and Vendor Rates.
Cargowise Master Data maintenance.
Understanding of data governance frameworks is an advantage.
Desirable experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related discipline (preferred).
Technical skills
Familiarity with ERP, TMS, or WMS systems preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of data validation techniques.
Business skills
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
Leadership skills
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
