Ehs Engineer - Manufacturing

The EHS Engineer is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company’s EHS program, as well as ISO and Customer management systems. This role ensures compliance with legal regulations, customer-specific requirements, and internal standards. The specialist also prepares for and coordinates customer system audits (e.g., FSC, RBA), generates periodic reports, and supports cross-functional teams in driving continual improvement. The position requires a proactive mindset, strong knowledge of local legal requirements in EHS, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a manufacturing environment.

Job Description

• EHS Management (Environment, Health & Safety):
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with local EHS regulations and corporate standards
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations
  • Coordinate monthly EHS training and toolbox talks for production staff
  • Collaborate with production departments to implement and sustain 5S, safety signage, PPE, and emergency response plans
  • Manage chemical safety (MSDS), fire drills, and EHS documentation
• Customer System Updates:
  • Take charge of updating/registering according to customer system requirements
  • Prepare for customer assessments and submit required documentation or evidence
  • Coordinate cross-functional actions to ensure audit readiness and post-audit corrective actions
• Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly reports on EHS performance and system/audit status
  • Track and report KPIs related to ISO compliance, incidents, and audit results
  • Support the QA Manager and related departments in management review meetings

• Required working experience: Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing plant.
• Experience with customer audits and system platforms is a strong advantage.
• Required qualifications: Priority given to graduates from universities such as Ton Duc Thang or Trade Union University with a major in Occupational Health and Safety, or from engineering disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Required Languages: Fluent in English.
• Required knowledge and skills: Knowledge of EHS laws (occupational safety and health, environmental, fire safety), and awareness of ISO 9001/14001/45001/RBA/GHG is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
