Card Merchant Development Specialist

• Positive financial contribution to the cards revenue lines by driving usage
• Responsible for building a strong network of card benefit partners across the assigned territory or merchant category
• Drive usage volume at the assigned partners through offers communication, POSM, etc.
• Drive strong visibility at point of sale using a variety of marketing tools like menu stands, door stickers, standees, etc.
• Drive cross sell of other retail banking products
• Retention of existing merchants
• Develop weekly and monthly special offers and hot deals
• Develop merchant tie-ups to offer Installment on cards
• Work with cross-functional teams including Marcom, distribution, IT, Risk and operations to ensure and improve sales and service quality
• Conduct regular market research and keep track of new developments
• Identify potential risks and take or propose actions to mitigate
• Work closely with key Business stakeholders such as the OPS, Finance, Risk, Product
• Provide high quality services to internal customer.
• Perform tasks in a manner consistent with VIB’s core values of Customer focus, Excellence, Honesty, Team work, Discipline.
• Perform other tasks assigned by line manager

• 3 years+ experience in sales and business development for card business and merchant acquiring
• Very strong sales management, market expansion, business development and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and judgment skills
• High energy and commitment level
• University or advanced degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Banking, Accounting or Business Administration
• Understand the Bank’s strategic objectives, business model, and Vietnam and region's cards and payments landscape
• Excellent networking skills and relationship management skills
• Fluent in English
