The forerunner is Binh Tay Liquor Company, run by Soccíeté Francaise des Distilleries de Indochine (SFDIC) of France. The company was officially started construction in 1900 and in operation in 1902.
On November 16, 1977 the Minister of Food signed the Decision No. 2489/LTTP/CT on “Changing Binh Tay Liquor Company to State-owned Enterprise” and renamed Binh Tay Liquor Company into Binh Tay Liquor State-owned machine under the Southern Wine Company.
On June 12, 1993, the Minister of Light Industry signed Decision No. 578/CNN-TCLĐ on the establishment of Binh Tay Liquor Company – State-owned Enterprise under the Ministry of Light Industry.
