1. Quality Engineer (Process) is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Quality Plan related to production processes in a plastic manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring process consistency, product conformity, and continuous improvement throughout production operations. The position involves driving proactive quality control, reducing defects and process variations, and fostering a culture of quality across the manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develops, implements, and monitors the site-specificProcess Quality Planin alignment with company goals, focusing on minimizing process variation, reducing waste, and ensuring stable product quality.
· Works closely with Production and Engineering teams to establish and maintainin-process quality controls, including process capability studies, machine validation, and process audits.
· Provides training and guidance to production teams on quality standards, defect prevention, and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5Why, Fishbone, FMEA, 8D, etc.).
· Ensures effectiveimplementation of quality methodologiesacross production processes to support compliance with internal specifications and customer requirements.
· Drives timely resolution of process-related quality issues; monitors recurring defects, investigates root causes, and implements corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Ensures compliance with relevantlocal and international regulatory requirementsrelated to plastic manufacturing (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
· Identifies critical areas for process improvement, defines project scopes, timelines, and required resources, and collaborates with internal teams and suppliers to execute improvement plans.
· Tracks quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, scrap rates, process capability indices) and prepares reports for internal reviews and external audits.
· Captures and shares key learnings, risks, and best practices at the site level and across the organization to support continuous improvement initiatives.
2. The Quality Engineer (FAI Specialist) will be responsible for conducting First Article Inspections to ensure that products meet quality and performance standards. This role requires a deep understanding of measurement techniques, plastic part drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). The ideal candidate will be proficient in using various measurement equipment and have strong English communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in English.
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Polymer, or related fields).
· Strong understanding of technical quality requirements in a manufacturing environment.
· Proven ability to develop and implement strategies to ensure conformance to quality standards.
· Demonstrated experience in promoting and sustaining a quality-conscious culture within production and technical teams.
· Solid knowledge of ISO 9001;
· Proficient in reading and interpreting 2D technical drawings.
· Skilled in using basic measurement tools such as calipers, height gauges, and Video Measurement Systems (VMS) is a plus.
· Experience in facilitating continuous improvement initiatives, including the ability to gather and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
· Capable of leading Continuous Improvement Reviews to share best practices and drive process enhancements.
· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and other quality management systems or ERP software.
· Good command of English (both written and verbal).
