Product Development Manager (Footwear, HCM) - 27194

*** Manage the entire footwear product development process from brief intake to Tech 1 and Ready to Buy (RTB) approval. Ensure highly technical products are developed according to brand needs, meeting all technical, quality, cost, and timeline requirements while supporting teams in the US and Asia.

1. Operations & Delivery (60%)
• Manage workload, assign projects, and oversee the full product development and commercialization process.
• Control BOM, Tech-Pack, technical information, and sample quality to meet deadlines.
• Resolve fit/wear issues and lead technical meetings (teardown, Tech 1).
• Ensure testing and all required documentation are completed for on-time RTB.

2. Collaboration & Team Development (20%)
• Provide technical expertise in construction, materials, and costing.
• Train team members and foster a problem-solving culture.
• Collaborate closely with BU functions and partners across the US and Asia.

3. Processes & Continuous Improvement (15%)
• Drive continuous improvement and implement Best Practices.
• Analyze defective returns to optimize processes, materials, and constructions.
• Support digital transformation initiatives.

4. Training & Technology Updates (5%)
• Travel to factories, suppliers, and HQ as needed; stay current on new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Participate in training programs, workshops, and industry conferences.

Education/Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience

Work Experience:
• 10+ years experience in the footwear industry with concentration in Development, Commercialization, Production or Quality Assurance
• 3-5 years experience managing staff
• In-depth knowledge of material applications for product use
• In-depth knowledge of product constructions
• In-depth knowledge of Development seasonal calendars and expected deliverables at key milestones
