Division/Department: Engineering
Reports to: Engineering Manager, Technical Director
Duties and Responsibilities:
Mechanical design for Thermal Processing Equipment.
Mechanical design for general Process Equipment in the Steel, Paper, Petrochemical and similar heavy industries.
Develop, maintain and apply mechanical engineering standards as directed.
General mechanical detail design duties including CAD and 3D modelling.
Basic design calculations, materials selection and components evaluation as directed.
Liaison with mechanical and process equipment suppliers for technical evaluations and selection.
Participate in commissioning activities of mechanical and general process equipment for projects both in Vietnam and overseas.
Assist customers with mechanical equipment issues including investigations and troubleshooting activities at their premises.
Participate in product development activities.
Assist in the maintenance of the company’s engineering reference database.
Assist sales personnel with technical advice or customer enquiries.

Education, Work Experience and other requirements:
University qualified Mechanical Engineer.
5+ years of work experience in heavy engineering (with foreign companies preferred).
Experience with Thermodynamics and/or Heating/Cooling systems (preferred but not essential).
General mechanical equipment design experience.
AutoCAD experience and 3D modelling proficiency (Autodesk Inventor or other relevant software).
Exposure to heavy Industrial process equipment.
Good communication in English language both written and oral is essential.
General computer proficiency (MS Office essential).
Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Positive attitude, hardworking, team oriented and self-motivated.
Must have a willingness and ability to travel within Vietnam and internationally at short notice.
Must hold and maintain a valid passport for international travel.
