Follow up with PRD Expeditor and factories to track sample schedules. Start working with factories on quotations once WW samples are completed.
Compare factory quotations with the latest CAD, including materials, product dimensions, cube, ETC., to ensure accuracy and no detail is missed.
Review quoted price points and minimum order quantities (MOQ). Negotiate with factories for better pricing and MOQ.
Submit quotations to the North America team.
Re-engage with factories if the North America team requests changes to design, materials, or better pricing to meet target costs.
If there are any value engineering suggestions (e.g., changes in materials, hardware, cube, construction, ETC…), consult with PRD management for approval, then work with factories to update pricing based on approved changes.
Update approved pricing, MOQ, and lead time in the AX system.
If there are changes in materials, construction, ETC., during PPS or production, coordinate with factories to revise pricing.
Send updated pricing to the North America team for approval and update system, supply chain team, and factories once new pricing is approved.
If a factory is underperforming and needs to be moved out, coordinate with management to review and re-quote all of their products with alternative factories.
