Packaging Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

• This position leads complex packaging projects in Biscuit & Baked Snacks. S/he collaborates with the business team (Marketing, Supply Chain…) to provide packaging solutions in driving the business growth.

• This position is accountable for packaging productivity projects in Vietnam. Packaging productivity may cover size change, structure change and other technical support. Packaging development may include new packaging material, new packaging functionality, new packing format and new packing engineering introduction or reformulating current ones.

• This position requires a detailed & deep understanding of packaging development process and good knowledge of packaging, enabling technologies & materials to make a significant contribution to project objectives and outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and deliver new packaging development projects for Vietnam including innovation/ renovation, promotion, seasonals & gifting and support for quality improvement to reach company Business Unit targets.

• Work as a business partner and provide General Technical Support to business.

• Develop project scope in response to business initiatives. Actively participate in developing, recommending, planning and delivering in line with business process.

• Work with global teams for new technology applicate locally.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material science

• At least 5 years of experience in packaging development, food Industry or related areas

• Project management capability. Able to manage multiple assignments and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines

• Experience in Food or FMCG industry is preferred.

• Good interpersonal skills

• Good communication in English and Vietnamese

• Good computer skills
