Sourcing Agent

Our client - An international company seeks a full-time Purchasing Sourcing Agent in Hai Phong, Vietnam. This role, based at a vendor facility, involves supplier management, sourcing optimization, and new product/partner identification.

• Strategic Sourcing: Research, develop strategies, and execute sourcing and contracting for new ventures in Vietnam, selecting and negotiating with suppliers to support business growth.
• Supplier Management: Evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, service, and other factors. Monitor factory performance, proactively identify and resolve issues, and ensure adherence to company procedures and terms.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, reliable relationships with suppliers.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all goods meet the company's rigorous quality standards.
• Inventory & Order Management: Analyze data for proper inventory positioning, place reorders, monitor shipments, and resolve delivery discrepancies. Review open purchase orders and update relevant information (ship dates, pricing).
• Financial Oversight: Review invoices and foreign payment packages for finance, assisting with discrepancy resolution.
• Market Intelligence: Maintain a comprehensive library of factories and vendors and stay informed on the latest products and market trends.

Must be fluent spoken/written in Vietnamese, Mandarin, English.

Ability to fulfill the tasks of the job description.

Willing to travel
