Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Payroll Executive to manage payroll operations for our Vietnam-based employees. This in-house role sits within the Finance team and is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing in accordance with Vietnamese labor laws and internal policies.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

1. Payroll Administration & Processing:

• Administer end-to-end monthly payroll for Vietnam employees, including salary, allowances, bonuses, and statutory deductions.

• Manage the full end-to-end payroll cycle, including accurate gross-to-net salary calculations for all employees using excel.

• Process all forms of compensation, including overtime, bonuses, commissions, and allowances, ensuring strict adherence to the Vietnamese Labor Code.

• Calculate and process final payments for departing employees, including outstanding leave entitlements, severance, and social insurance finalization.

• Maintain and reconcile employee leave records (annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave, etc.).

• Prepare and maintain all core physical documents that require management's signature per Vietnam acct & tax regulations


2. Social & Health Insurance (SI/HI) & Unemployment Insurance (UI) Management:

• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance requirements.

• Perform precise monthly calculations of mandatory SI/HI/UI contributions for both employees and the company.

• Prepare and submit all required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, declarations to the Social Insurance Authority via a government linked system (Vietnamese only).

• Liaise and work with social insurance authorities on any audits or to resolve any issues and stay informed of policy changes.


3. Tax and Statutory Compliance:

• Accurately calculate monthly Personal Income Tax (PIT).

• Complete and submit the annual PIT finalization for all employees, registering employee’s tax dependents, handling any necessary declarations with the tax department.

• Proactively monitor and implement changes in Vietnamese labor laws, related tax regulations, and social insurance policies.

• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external payroll-related audits.


4. Financial Reporting, Reconciliation & Employee Support:

• Support on all payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts to the general ledger.

• Generate detailed payroll reports for senior management and financial analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience in Vietnam, preferably in a multinational or tech-driven environment.

• Strong understanding of Vietnamese payroll regulations and statutory compliance.

• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.

• High attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills in Vietnamese and English.

• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
