1. Description
- The primary role of the HSE Technician is to implement and administer HSE programs, policies and procedures in line with corporate, compliance with province and legal requirements.
- Managing all HSE aspects of manufacturing operations.
- Conduct the evaluation operations, equipment and practices for Safety – Health – Environment regulatory compliance and with company standards.
2. Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide HSE technical expertise on manufacturing systems, process design and operating procedures.
- Manage safety in the plant: Conduct regular HSE audits /reviews, recommend and oversee corrective /preventive measures to ensureing compliance with internal requirement, law.
o Fire fighting: Prepare for fire protection rehearsal with employees or local authorities, monthly conduct fire fighting training and practice
o Machine safety
o Chemical safety
o Electrical safety
o Contractor safety
o Environment: Waste, air, hazardous waste to ensure meet legal requirements: Oversee handling, storage, and disposal of industrial and hazardous wastes
- Training: conduct HSE training as traning plan
- Cooperate with other department to accomplish health, safety and environment tasks.
- Build up and develop safety network team.
- Liaise with various government authorities on workplace health, safety, and environmental issues
3. Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/ electrical engineering, Occupational health & Safety or in related field of study (English is preferred)
- At least two-year experience in similar role
- Good analysis and reporting skills required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Can work under high stress.
