- Legal and compliance matters:
o Updating applicable laws and regulations, report significant legal violations and regulatory change, and consulting legal and compliance matters to members of BOM and other divisions for proper implementation and effective operation of the Company;
o Evaluating the suitability and compliance with the law of internal guidelines, making and amending Charter, Internal Guidelines as BOM’s requests, forms and samples according to new legal regulations for divisions’ application; cross-check on Internal Guidelines made by other divisions;
o Liaison with authorities such as the SBV, Judge, State officers;
o In charge of license, AML and tax complaint matters;
o Performing other duties assigned by members of BOM.
- Lawsuit:
o Assigning Legal and Compliance PICs to be in charge and choosing the most suitable legal action to be applied to each bad project;
o Supervising and speeding up Legal and Compliance PICs in procedural matters;
o Speeding up projects after applying legal action;
o Checking petition and relevant documents, judgment or court’s decisions, application on judgment execution, and other main matters that are stated by Legal and Compliance PICs at the trial;
- Non-Performance Loans Administration:
o Assigning jobs to Legal and Compliance PIC and managing bad projects;
o Checking all documents regarding Payment Schedule, Amendment Agreement and other relevant documents;
o Supporting Legal and Compliance PICs in bad debt settlements;
o Making periodical reports of bad projects to members of BOM;
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law; holding a lawyer license is a strong advantage and eligible for an additional allowance.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in legal and compliance functions, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
- Computer skills: MS Office
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- High sense of integrity, responsibility, and confidentiality.
- Diligent, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
