Engineering Supervisor (Giám Sát Kỹ Thuật)

JOB PURPOSE

To support the Assistant Factory Manager in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the Engineering team within the Hanger Process of the Hanger Vertical, ensuring all activities align with Mainetti’s quality policy and contribute to achieving the Engineering Department’s objectives.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision of Technical Teams (3 Shifts)

• Coordinate task assignments across all three shifts to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations.

• Provide technical supervision and immediate troubleshooting support.

• Establish effective shift handover procedures for accurate communication.

• Monitor shift-wise performance, quality, and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure adherence to safety, 5S, and company policies.

• Train technical staff and promote skill development.

• Prepare consolidated daily reports on machine status, output, and issues.

2. Mold management (in working shifts)

• Oversee mold set-up/change-over processes in compliance with safety and technical standards.

• Verify mold condition before production starts.

• Work with THE MAINTENANCE & MOULD team for routine mold servicing and repairs.

3. Injection Molding Process Control

• Set and adjust molding & machine parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time, etc.) based on product and material.

• Ensure stable production quality by monitoring and refining settings.

• Maintain and update parameter setting sheets per product code.

4. Production Efficiency (OEE)

• Track and analyze OEE components: machine availability, performance, and quality rate (%).

• Identify bottlenecks and propose improvement initiatives to reduce downtime.

5. Product Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with QA team to ensure product compliance with quality standards.

• Analyze defects, conduct root cause investigations, and apply corrective actions.

• Ensure finished goods meet dimensional, visual, and durability criteria.

6. Downtime & Cycle Time Optimization

• Record downtime causes (technical, mold, material delays).

• Analyze and optimize cycle times to improve productivity.

• Recommend initiatives to reduce idle time and improve machine utilization.

7. Cavity & Output Control

• Ensure proper cavity usage based on mold design.

• Track output against targets and take timely action to close gaps.

• Investigate production shortfalls and resolve underlying issues.

8. Team Training & Development

• Coach operators and shift technician in technical troubleshooting and best practices.

• Conduct training on safety, 5S, and continuous IMPROVEMENT OF methodologies.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Plastics Engineering, or related field.

• Certifications in injection molding, mold design, or Lean Manufacturing are preferred.

Experience

• At least 3 years in plastic injection molding, with 2 years in a supervisory or technical management role.

• Hands-on experience in:

- Mold installation and maintenance

- Injection parameter setting and optimization

- Multi-shift production management

- OEE, downtime, Cavitation and cycle time analysis

Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of injection molding processes and mold structure.

• Competent in quality control, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

• Familiar with Lean, 5S, Kaizen, ISO 9001 – (Advantage).

• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, basic PLC, and MS Office- (AI is advantage)

• High sense of responsibility; able to work under pressure and in shifts.

Language

• Ability to read technical documents in English.

• Basic verbal English communication is a plus.
