■Position overview

The sole engineering team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is looking for proactive, experienced, and highly communicative individuals. You will play an important role in the design and development of high-quality footwear products.

In this role, you will work closely with the design team at the head office and factory to design the optimal sole with consideration for mass production, check that samples are made as designed, and resolve technical issues.

You will also coordinate and facilitate all topics related to sole and MOLD design within the development engineering team and with other departments outside the company, so that footwear products can achieve their goals without compromising on quality or design.

■Key Responsibilities

• Work with the factory design team to create high-quality, high-value-added soles with high mass-production feasibility through multiple sample production runs.

• Communicate with the sole material, quality control, and production control teams to ensure that mass production can be implemented based on material, quality, and delivery requirements.

• Build strong relationships with shoe factories, sole suppliers, and MOLD suppliers, and investigate and test new sole molding technologies to ensure that they can be adapted for INLINE items.

• Conduct regular audits and evaluations of shoe factories and sole suppliers.

• At least 5 years of experience in sole design, drawing creation, and MOLD creation in the footwear or related industry. Those who are familiar with the manufacturing, process, and structure of footwear.

• Those who have worked at Nike, Adidas, New Balance, or major sportswear manufacturers are welcome.

• Age: preferably 27 to 30 years old

• Communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across departments.

• Negotiation and problem-solving skills.

• English good + Japanese basic

• Other language skills are a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
